Pardon me while I expound.....THE AINT'S ARE BACK! (pitiful)
Anyway, let's get back to the trip. David took a day off to take a blanket down to Tucson. This was a gift from a friend, and they wanted to get it appraised at a museum on the ASU campus. He's taking a picture of it for the lady that's going to look at it. As far as I know, they don't have results yet.
On the trip we pulled over at the site where Tom Mix met his demise. That's David, using all his fingers, to commemorate the occasion with a big ol' YeeHaaa! After the business at ASU we ate at this Mexican place in the barrio. This was the real thing. Next door to the cafe was this memorial for someone buried in unblessed ground. (that was the gist of the plaque) If you notice, there are paper notes in between the bricks. They say a note's prayer will be answered, or not? Who knows.
Anyway, after leaving our notes, we tripped on down to the Saguaro Nat'l Forest for a tour. There's plenty of these cacti around, but forest? I guess they get their forests where they can in Ar. More of this stuff in next post. Continue on.
